U9/U10 Soccer is the first competitive level in which players participate on a team that travels to other communities to play teams outside of McFarland.
Starting in the fall of 2025 we will no longer have separate “Academy” and “Recreational” soccer programs.
All players will combine into their corresponding age/gender group. For instance, all U9 boys would enroll in the U9 boys soccer program.
Each age/gender will have its own program director, and the program directors are experienced and recommended coaches.
Each program director will:
- Work under the direction of the Club's Director of Coaching to ensure we are offering a consistent and quality playing experience for all players.
- Implement the lesson plans that are developed by the Director of Coaching.
- Work with the coaches of their age/gender groups to equally divide up the teams before the season begins.
- Each program will be expected to practice at the same time, allowing the program director to oversee the whole program. Allowing directors to directly work with those coaches under their supervision.

U9 girls program director: Nick Sales
U10 boys program director: Taila Schluter
